Howdy folks how yall do n. The Needles are back from summer break and on a tear. We will be playing some real soon and cant wait to see you all! Our next show will be in the OBX where it has been flat for 3 weeks. That explains the Aw S#*t… yeah we are playing on the the 22nd of August as a benefit for a fallen soldier of rocknroll Matt O of The Candy Snatchers.

Thurs Sept 4. we will be at home in Wilmington NC. Sept 5. we will be in Pittsburgh Pa at The 31st Street Pub. Sept 6. will be in Frostburgh Md. with Atomic Drops and Sept 7. in Kill Devil Hills NC. with The Supersuckers. I cant wait for that one. Not only do I enjoy The Supersuckers as they are a great live rock band but we are locked on for some tasty waves that time a year so the loc’s will be restless.

Oh Yeah keep your ear to the floor and you’ll start hearing the pulse of some new Needles rock coming your way thanks to Steve Baise. Dude rocks till he dies. It says so on his arm. Rocknroll and Rest In Peace

Sorry to say the rock n roll community of Virginia Beach lost a friend this week with the death of Matt Odeitus of the infamous Candy Snatchers. We played a lot of shows over the years with the Snatchers and it really rained on my Sunday when I heard the news. Just wanted to leave big thanks and love to Matt and The Candy Snatchers. It’s been a blast to rock, fight, party and laugh with you guys. Matt and the Snatchers left a great body of punk rock work to celebrate forever….Rest In Peace bro….

The Needle rocked the Independent Trucks 30 year anniversary tour after party at The Whiskey in down town Wilmington, NC. (Thanks Andrew) Couple of photos of me and Rhino, also Chet and Sub Han look n like they were having a great time. Reggy of Eastern Skateboard Supply opened the doors of his private skate park to the public so they could see the pros and legends shred. Sh#t I even caught a grind or two. Reggy treated everyone to local favorite restaurant Indochine. Delicious!

OBX Back Yard Bowl Series jams with The Needles!

The OBX Back yard Bowl Series Contest #4 was a total success. Science Fair(Dave Maxwell) took the overall victory in the heavy weight division while Wilmington NC. young buck Cameron Redwine took the prize in the light weight division! The after party was a blast and we had a great time. Thanks Outer Banks keep on ripping!

King of the Road! Thrasher Skateboard Magazine

Whats up rockers. Just wanted to let all you shred heads know we got a song in the new THRASHER “King of the Road” video. (Thanx P Stone) Honestly have not got to see it yet so not sure which tune. Really just hyped that skate boarding has embraced The Needles rocknroll. “Shake yo Self” was featured in the last BLACK LABEL video “Back in Black”. I think Preston has used The Needles in almost every one of his “Beer Series” movies put out by THRASHER. It’s a childhood dream come true to here our rock band in a bad ass skate vids! I tip my hat to you all that ride the woodnwheels. Gut

Howdy folks just recovering from a five day road trip that easily took six months off my life! Just got a call from Micky telling me he just had to shell out seven hundred big ones for the dock to tell him he has a cracked rib courtesy of Cory “the Hi Flying Jew” Fox. By the way if you are traveling band you got to play at Cory’s strip mall rocknroll palace The Landshark Cafe. Cory is a great dude and one hell of a wrestler and if your band does not suck he’ll treat you real good! If he gets you a hotel room and starts pouring Makers Mark down your throat lookout because your room is getting trashed and your drummer is going home hurt. Thanx a grip bro and sorry we had to black your eye…

Also want to say thanx to Rob and the fellas at Sector Nine for having us at Orlando Surf Expo. Sorry our vintage 70′s HIWATT custom 100 amp went up in smoke…but you guys got a good twenty minutes out of us! Thanx to the crew at ELECTRIC as always for the support and thanx to ASG and Year Long Disaster for letting us jump on and play Friday at The Back Booth(thanx to you to BIG RICK). Always a blast two play with our home town fellas… All in All it only cost us about two thousand seven hundred dollars and a 17 hour layover in Ga. to get it done! Other than breaking my Flying V, the transmission going out in the van, having to rent a van, our room getting trashed, Mics broken rib, Chads amp burning up and the hangover, we had a blast….Yall be cool, Gut
