Just got the unmastered roughs in hand after wrestling with my hangover all day Sunday. Thanks to Alex for letting Mickey sleep on the couch and Willy watch the race on the widescreen. I am pleased with what we were able to get done in 5 hours. Nice team work.

Great times up in Pittsburgh with Atomic Drops–over did it at Permanti’s–at 31st St. Maryland was a different story. If pics show up of the after show antics we’ll be banned if we’re not already. Outer Banks Brewing Station was another story all together. Great show and great bill. SUPERSUCKERS sound great in that joint. The ride home was the worst part of the trip… and yeah, my new amp rips. Oh yeah… I’m drinking sangria (get it?)

Howdy folks how yall do n. The Needles are back from summer break and on a tear. We will be playing some real soon and cant wait to see you all! Our next show will be in the OBX where it has been flat for 3 weeks. That explains the Aw S#*t… yeah we are playing on the the 22nd of August as a benefit for a fallen soldier of rocknroll Matt O of The Candy Snatchers.

Thurs Sept 4. we will be at home in Wilmington NC. Sept 5. we will be in Pittsburgh Pa at The 31st Street Pub. Sept 6. will be in Frostburgh Md. with Atomic Drops and Sept 7. in Kill Devil Hills NC. with The Supersuckers. I cant wait for that one. Not only do I enjoy The Supersuckers as they are a great live rock band but we are locked on for some tasty waves that time a year so the loc’s will be restless.

Oh Yeah keep your ear to the floor and you’ll start hearing the pulse of some new Needles rock coming your way thanks to Steve Baise. Dude rocks till he dies. It says so on his arm. Sorry to say the rock n roll community of Virginia Beach lost a friend this week with the death of Matt Odeitus of the infamous Candy Snatchers. We played a lot of shows over the years with the Snatchers and it really rained on my Sunday when I heard the news. Just wanted to leave big thanks and love to Matt and The Candy Snatchers. It’s been a blast to rock, fight, party and laugh with you guys. Matt and the Snatchers left a great body of punk rock work to celebrate forever….Rest In Peace bro….

The Needle rocked the Independent Trucks 30 year anniversary tour after party at The Whiskey in down town Wilmington, NC. (Thanks Andrew) Couple of photos of me and Rhino, also Chet and Sub Han look n like they were having a great time. Reggy of Eastern Skateboard Supply opened the doors of his private skate park to the public so they could see the pros and legends shred. Sh#t I even caught a grind or two. Reggy treated everyone to local favorite restaurant Indochine. Delicious!

OBX Back Yard Bowl Series jams with The Needles!

The OBX Back yard Bowl Series Contest #4 was a total success. Science Fair(Dave Maxwell) took the overall victory in the heavy weight division while Wilmington NC. young buck Cameron Redwine took the prize in the light weight division! The after party was a blast and we had a great time. Thanks Outer Banks keep on ripping!
